The laser produces a concentrated bundle of light that is absorbed selectively by the pigment melanina of the hair follicles. Laser light-energy destroys the hair´s root without concerning the skin. In the Medical Institute Blu Láser we use Alejandrita’s Laser.

IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL EFFECTIVE?

The efficiency is related to your personal characteristics, skin color, hair color; is higher when you have more contrast between white skin and dark hair. You´ll see the result since the first treatment.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS I´LL NEED?

The depilation is obtained progressively. Often are enough with 4-8 treatments, separated a minimum of 6 or 8 weeks every session.

IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL DEFINITIVE?

After years of application, we can assure that results are permanents; is the best option for those who want to forget traditional methods as wax or blade razors, as well as to solve problems like hirsutism or hair sealed.

HAS IT SIDE EFFECTS?

IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL PAINFUL?

The equipment used in the Medical Institute Blu Láser incorporates a skin refrigeration system with cold gas – DCD (Dynamic Cold Device), this does the most comfortable use. You´ll feel a slight inconvenience that the majority of people supports without problems. Also is posible to use a skin anesthesic cream. Consult us before the session if you want to use it.

WHAT CAN I DO TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF  TREATMENT OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

Don´t use depilatory methods that extract the root of the hair (wax, tweezers, silkepil or similar) 3-4 weeks before the laser.
Shave the area 2 or 3 days before the treatment.
Don´t make sunbaths or beams UVA during the treatment (4 previous weeks and also the 4 later ones). Don´n use autosuntan lotions.
Applies some moisturizing cream or gel after the laser: aloe, mosqueta rose , camomilla.
To realize the treatments respecting the recommended interval of time; this increases the efficiency.

WHAT CAN I HOPE?

You´ll enjoy a soft skin without hair since the first session. In 6-8 weeks, part of the hair starts growing out thinner; then you must come for the next treatment. The elimination of the hair is progressive. We consider the treatment finished when the hair disappears in more than 85-90 %, staying the rest thinner and practically invisible.
